The park with two names

Veterans Memorial Park, Webster

Veterans Memorial Park is one of my hometown parks. It's a relatively small area of land mere steps north of the village of Webster. Because of its proximity to town and the large gazebo there, it is THE place for summer concerts, movies in the park, festivals and other special events. In fact, I took advantage of my attendance at one of those a Friday night concert to also take some notes and photos for this blog.

As you might be able to tell from its name, this park is dedicated to the memory of our nation's veterans.

Aside from the gazebo, its other main feature is a small patio area with flags and a monument. However, there's no sign anywhere indicating the park's proper name, so most people around town know it as "Gazebo Park." Hence the park with two names.

This is a lovely little green space, bordered by lots of flowers. There are a few benches as well for just sitting and relaxing, so I do recommend your stopping by to do so next time you're in town.
