Welcome to my blog! I am a Webster, NY resident and mother of three adult children. I love to hike and I love to write. I'm currently the Webster community blogger for the Democrat & Chronicle, and also the newspaper's east-side community columnist. It was in that column, on January 7, where I first wrote about the challenge I had set for myself: exploring every one of our 100 or so east-side parks before the end of the year.

I'll chronicle my explorations here and I encourage everyone to follow along. Or even better, get out and start exploring all these parks for yourself. It's great exercise, super family fun, and a terrific way to appreciate all our towns have to offer.
